Project – Mariano’s Site Prep / Ashland & Elston
Overview – The work began with installation of temp fencing to secure the site, asbestos abatement and demolition of a 21,546 sq ft and a 69,045 sq ft brick building, The removal of foundations, concrete pavements, drives, sidewalks and retaining wall to grade. The resulting concrete, brick and block were crushed on site to a 3” minus material and stockpiled for future use. The capping of two existing water and sewer utilities as well as offsite disposal of removed existing trees, rail and asphalt pavement were executed. Upon completion of the demolition, removal of Subtitle D contaminated soil and unforeseen structures outside of the demo area were removed. Structural excavation for building foundations, backfill and stockpile of spoils for building area and Phase 1 parking lot, grading of site and parking areas. Site utility work included Storm Water system and tie-in, Storm trap system and slab, including excavation and spoils removal and sanitary system tie in. Haul off and disposal of non-contaminated and contaminated soil and waste. Import, place and compact of fill material.
